Sega Corp. is teaming up with international partners to expand in Asia and lower its reliance on the Japanese market.

The author of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise has been seeking to shift its game developers focus away from just the domestic market and console players, Sega President Shuji Utsumi said. Segas beefed up its mobile game offerings, with holding company Sega Sammy Holdings Inc. buying Angry Birds creator Rovio Entertainment Oyj in 2023.

世嘉（Sega）总裁内海州史（Shuji Utsumi）表示，《刺猬索尼克》系列作品的创作者一直在努力将游戏开发者的关注点从单纯的国内市场和主机玩家转向更广阔的领域。世嘉已通过控股公司世嘉飒美控股（Sega Sammy Holdings Inc.）在2023年收购《愤怒的小鸟》开发商Rovio Entertainment Oyj，从而加强了其手机游戏业务布局。
